Knife Crime-Choices & Consequences Workshop

Our workshops include exploration of the top twenty-five (25) crimes, offenses and/or violations referred to youth court, teen court, peer court, student court and peer jury diversion programs around the globe.


Our Choices & Consequences Workshop will promote awareness of the countless physical, psychological, emotional and economic consequences of specific behaviour choices vulnerable individuals make.


Participants will gain the opportunity to engage in personal tasks, discussions, group work and interaction with a range of fast paced exciting games and activities that will guide users to explore the positive and negative impact of behaviour choices on self and others.


The resources used in these sessions are high impact and are extremely effective in promoting the development of foresight, critical thinking and self control.


These activities have been designed specifically to reduce the risk of individuals becoming engaged in criminal activities and reduce the risk of individuals engaging in group/gang violence, ​


During this workshop individuals will:

Develop self-identity and individuality


Become empowered to make positive informed choices therefore reducing the risk of being vulnerable to engaging in crime


Be able to identify safe and unsafe practices


Practice development of the key components/key attributes that make up emotional, mental health and wellbeing


Practice critical thinking


Develop foresight

 

This session will:


Reduce the risk of individuals joining gangs

Reduce the risk of individuals engaging in group / gang violence

Promote community cohesion

Promote citizenship

Promote development of solid emotional, mental health and wellbeing


Promote critical thinking

Promote development of ALL key components


Raise participant’s awareness and promote the importance of recognising consequences attached to behaviour choices

Guide and support participants in identifying comfortable and uncomfortable feelings linked to behaviour choices

Engage participants in practical interactive threat-based activities that will promote critical thinking

Encourage participants to share their experiences as a way of enhancing learning


Give learners skills to enable them to maintain emotional resilience
